Yom Teruah Feast Day Service on Tuesday, September 7th at 12noon EDT online

Yom Teruah is also called Rosh Hashanah. This year it begins at sundown on Sept. 6th and ends at sundown on Sept. 7th. It is the day for sounding the shofar, which announces the coming King, scatters the enemy and awakens God's people to our purposes. Yom Teruah will be fulfilled when Messiah returns according to 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. It also begins the 10 Days of Awe, a time set a part for prayer, reflection and repentance.

Yom Kippur Feast Day Service on Thursday, September 16th at 4pm EDT online

(This online gathering will following an Immersion at the Yorktown Beach in Yorktown, VA at 12 noon EDT the same day--9/16. Our Yom Kippur Immersion is in conjunction with Congregation Zion's Sake, and it is free and open to all. Please practice social distancing, wear dark clothes and bring a towel and change of clothes if you join us for the Immersion.)

Yom Kippur is also called the Day of Atonement. This year, it begins at sundown Sept. 15th and ends at sundown on Sept. 16th. The Lord requires a complete fast and doing absolutely no work on this day (Lev. 23:26-32). It is the day on which God either purges us of our sins or purges us from His Book of Life, as no sin can glory in His Presence. Yom Kippur will be fulfilled on Judgment Day, as we see it in Revelation 20:11-15. As believers in Messiah Yeshua (Jesus Christ), we must focus on praying for the lost and our nation on Yom Kippur, as this is the day that God set apart to deliver entire nations from sin. It is in fact the Biblical National Day of Prayer!
